Could we be the Telecoms Provider of the Year? Premier’s proposition in the healthcare sector has been shortlisted ahead of the GP Awards 2021. (3-minute read)
We’re delighted to announce the exciting news that Premier Patient Line have been shortlisted in the Telecoms Provider of the Year category at the General Practice Awards 2021!
The General Practice Awards are the most prestigious awards for primary care professionals and 2021 will be no exception! Taking place on 10th December 2021 at the Novotel London West, the highly anticipated Ceremony will honour the world of general practice in a fabulous night of excitement and celebration.
The sixteen award categories celebrate many varied aspects of clinical care, the teams within the surgeries and the suppliers who provide support, products, and services for the healthcare profession.
Telecoms Provider of the Year
This category is highly contentious with lots of suppliers in this space in the sector, however, we are one of just five shortlisted for consideration.
For the last two decades our organisation has been an innovative telecoms and broader technology solutions provider, serving individual GP surgery sites and numerous other medical practices, as well as multi-site CCGs, PCNs and Federations across the UK.
We pride ourselves on our suite of patient access solutions; whether that be speeding up call handling with integration software, facilitating telephone or video triaging calls via unified communications apps, or utilising thermal camera technologies to detect elevated body temperatures in patients on arrival to a practice.
Telecoms was identified as a critical sector in the COVID-19 response so, when social distancing and enforced closures were introduced, we found ourselves instrumental in facilitating remote working and comms contingency plans, ensuring our customers could continue without interruption: solutions included mobile/desktop apps, inbound call queueing, adjusting line capacity, video calling, integration etc.
A rapid response was essential and we had to embark on a quick and secure project to change the way that doctors triage patients without any face-to-face contact. We also opened our Service Desk on all bank holidays for our NHS customers to provide changes and additional support services.
With the well-being and safety of our staff and community at the forefront, our Engineers have continued providing essential maintenance and installations with strict precautionary measures in place and their processes under constant review. In the first 15 months of the pandemic, the team had attended almost 2000 customer sites and travelled over 160,000 miles across the country to do so.
We were grateful to be able to continue supporting our customers, ensuring our surgeries receive the right solutions for their specific practice needs, even in a crisis.
This is why we’ve been shortlisted and we could not be more proud of how the team has come together, particularly this year and last.
While we eagerly await to hear the outcome of our category, we’re also delighted to be presenting the Receptionist of the Year Award, a testimony to the front line responders we support in surgeries on a daily basis.
We’re sure there will be an emotional speech of thanks should we find ourselves collecting an award! Regardless of the outcome, on finding out we had been shortlisted, we celebrated our teamwork within Team PCG to get us to this point. And while we couldn’t have done it without each other, we also couldn’t have done it without our loyal customer base and we thank you for trusting us as your supplier ♥
