iPECS UCE iOS App: How to Set Up Softphone for iOS

Video Transcript:

This is a short video to demonstrate how to make the necessary changes to the UCE app settings so you can use the app successfully on your iOS device.

To start, you will need to download the latest version from the App StoreSearch for UCE and you should be presented with iPECS UCE+. The current level of software available is version 4.2.4. You will need this as a minimum, depending on when you are viewing the video.

Once the app is installed correctly, navigate to the app icon and select. You will now need to allow access for the app to certain elements of your device. We are now at the main login screen. From here, you need to navigate to the settings menu via the three lines in the top right-hand corner. Here you can select your server IP. Select server and server again, and enter your UCE server IPSelect OK to confirm and leave the port number as default 5222. If you are not aware of your IP information, please contact your system administrator.

If you need to enable mobile data usage for when there is no Wi-Fi availability, navigate to the previous menu using the back arrow in the top left-hand corner. Select network and enable the use mobile network option. Please read the notice and be aware that this option will use your network data service and you will be charged by your network provider accordingly.

Confirm and navigate to the previous menus by selecting the back arrow twice. This will take you back to the main login screen. Here you will need to use your login credentials set with the user setup on the customer manager portal. Enter your portal ID including the customer domain and password. If you do not have your ID and password, please contact your system administrator.

If you need to make a change to your presence when you first log in, select the My Presence option and select the appropriate presence status.

You can also toggle auto login to automatically log in when you open the app.

To finalise your login, select the login button at the bottom.
